Thank you!!! You made that look so simple! I needed that ,-)
@PdinProductions just make sure to test it out on scrap fabric. before you use your excellent fabric. i hope it helps.
Thank you so much for making this video! ^^ I’m going to try making my own cosplay jacket and I’ll use this when I get to the sleeves.
fantastic video! but speaking as a designer, you should know that sleeves shouldn’t be symmetrical, meaning you can’t just cut the pattern on the fold.
in most garments you buy at stores, you’ll notice that the back part of the sleeve is a bit longer…this is to allow for better movement of the arms. if you have t-shirt or some other material thats not super fitted its ok to do a symmetrical sleave pattern but for other stuff you’ll want the back sleeve a bit longer.
@mymodestlife you would just curve it out as you got closer to the wrist. i forgot to place in the tutorial that the pattern is really for if your not using stretch material. if your plotting on using stretch material you can go ahead and make the pattern a small more form fitting so is not all lose andthen just flare out the bottom.
How would we alter the way you did this ordinary sleeve to turn it into a bell sleeve (that flairs as it approaches the wrist)?
sleeve was always the toughest for me but with your help it seems i undresatand
This is really helpful! =D Thanks so much for sharing your skills with the internet! >w<
@XxmorbidlysweetxX your welcome i really hope it helps. =D
Thank you SO much for showing how to make a sleeve pattern from the arm hole of the body of the garment! I don’t use store bought patterns and I didn’t want to cut another garment to get a pattern out of it.
Hey.. thank you so much for this video.. I am sooo excited with your instructions.. i can finally graduate to making better looking clothes with sleeves.
thank you so much! patterns dont clarify things properly, you helped me alot thanks again!

I like you so much! I’m making a jacket and I’ve gotten to the sleeves part and it was then I realized that I was never taught how to do this and my friend is gone right now. Thank you so much!!
@steph0217 your welcome glad it helped
you just saved me from complete frusteration…..thank you
@HikariRyuudou90 oh yea im sorry i should of mentioned that. but yea its just a simple zig zag stich because that is the most vunarable spot of the out fit to unravel. so you want to make sure its on like a 1 or 2 for the length of the stich with a zig zag. oh yea and dont worry i felt like that too when i first learned. XP
jesus, its that simple T_T
well don’t I fell silly hahaha!
also what type of pattern did your sewing machine show, I was trying to look closer and was thinking you did an zigzag edge mark set. but I could be incorrect D:
my sewing machine has those settings .
