Okay, I am working on a pattern right now and I am really confused about why I have had to cut two of the same pieces, I always get confused. Was I suppose to cut the pattern piece out two separate times on the fabric so I get 4 pieces of fabric. How come the instructions don’t tell me what to do with the extra two pieces I get? Please help!

Oh, man…. I wish I’d known about this video last night. I really could have used it! I’m using my first pattern in about 16 years or so (haven’t used one since I was about 12 and taking a “kids can sew” class). I learned from last night’s mistakes, though. Next time, *read* the pattern and make sure you have *all* of the pieces before throwing out the garbage. Oops. (not a huge deal, the piece I needed was just a small rectangle)

Thanks so much for being a fantastic teacher! :o )

soooo useful! thank you!

Fantastic vid.

Thank you very much. Simple and to the point.

Thank you for this video. It was super helpful to me. I really had no thought what those arrows meant. I had a feeling they meant “something” but I wasn’t sure what. Super helpful. Thanks again.

So much information in such a small space of time. Thanks for the tips, my memory is now refreshed.

@kriskrossRIP There are so many tutorials on how to make a corset pattern from scratch using your measurments, so you can base yourself on the pattern you bought and make a new one. It looks complicated but believe me it’s not :)

I have a question, I bought a pattern for corset for 2.00 at a resale shop. Got it home and it is for 6-16 size and I am neither. How do I use this pattern but make the project larger? HELP please LOL

Thank you for condensing it down! You can’t believe how long I can take looking for the definition of one line on a pattern:P

Fantastic video. I know that it took me about my third pattern to start figuring out some of the lines and finally started going aha a few months ago. Looking back I realize how hard I was making it on myself not knowing what I was looking at.
